Most organisations measure commuting emissions by sending annual surveys. It relies on people remembering to respond and produces a point-in-time estimate.

Captis replaces this process with an automated system. Once the app is installed, it detects commuting journeys in the background. There is nothing to log or remember.

Participation is voluntary. The app uses minimal battery and mobile data. Your movement is never visible to your employer.

Captis converts a manual obligation into a system that runs itself. The organisation receives reliable, audit-ready Scope 3 reporting.

Common questions.

Is participation mandatory?

No. Participation is voluntary. If you prefer not to take part, you can opt out at any time directly through the app or by ignoring the invitation.

Does the app drain my battery?

No. The app is designed using motion sensors to use very little battery and minimal mobile data. It runs quietly in the background.

How do I get started?

You will receive an email invitation. Open it on your phone, tap "Accept Invitation," and follow the prompts to install the app. That is it.

Can I opt out later?

Yes. You can opt out at any time. There is no obligation to continue once you have joined, and opting out has no consequence.
